Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park – Visit to the Top of the Falls
Your Murchison Falls safari begins early in the morning when you are picked up from your hotel or preferred location in Kampala or Entebbe. You will travel northwards through the Ugandan countryside, passing through towns, villages, farmland and beautiful landscapes as you make your way towards Murchison Falls National Park. Depending on your departure point and road conditions, the journey takes several hours, making the drive itself an opportunity to observe everyday life in rural Uganda. After reaching the park, you will proceed towards the northern savannah sector for an exciting game drive, where you may encounter elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, giraffes, warthogs and other wildlife. The northern sector, particularly the Buligi area, is well known for its open savannah landscapes and excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. After the game drive, you will visit the spectacular Murchison Falls viewpoint, where the mighty Nile is forced through a narrow gorge before plunging into the gorge below. You will have time to appreciate the scenery, take photographs and enjoy the dramatic sound and spray of the falls before proceeding to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Departure
You will wake up early for breakfast before beginning your final wildlife experience in Murchison Falls National Park. An early morning game drive gives you another opportunity to explore the savannah while many animals are active, particularly around open grasslands, water sources and established game tracks. You may encounter elephants moving through the bush, herds of Uganda kobs and buffaloes grazing in the plains, giraffes browsing on vegetation and warthogs moving across the grasslands. With some luck, you may also spot predators such as lions, while the abundant birdlife adds another dimension to your safari experience. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for breakfast or a packed meal, depending on the day’s departure schedule, before checking out and beginning your journey back towards Kampala or Entebbe. The drive provides another opportunity to appreciate Uganda’s countryside and local communities along the route. You will arrive in Kampala or Entebbe later in the day, where Verdant Safaris will drop you off at your hotel, residence or preferred departure point, marking the end of your 2 Days Murchison Falls National Park Safari.
